Number of potential matches isn't accurate

We are doing back work on an account with a weekly transfer for the same dollar amount going back to 11/24. There should be dozens of matches, but there are only a few, and the actual match to the actual date isn't showing. We found a Rule for the transfer, and Disabled it. Then 12 matches showed up...and then disappeared. We toggled the rule again, and then they showed up...then they disappeared again.
