What was extremely helpful when reviewing a balance sheet or P&L was having the custom fields at the top - I always look at multiple months next to each other - you moved this to the side and can't find it - it's difficult now to find - it's a clumsy search - please move this back

Thank you for the feedback and screenshots, Molly and Jeff! I appreciate your patience. We are evaluating the ask and looking at how we can reduce the number of clicks to apply most commonly used customizations/filters/settings on reports. We will keep this thread updated.

Nipun - I would ask, rather, plead, that you put the same drop down options at the top of the balance sheet and P&L screens.........we don't need a breakdown of these statements by customer/product/etc....which is what you have in the custom buttons - we need these statements to be viewed by month, or quarter, or year - that's it. the drop downs you have in classic view is all that is needed - please don't over complicate it

Jeff Dolowy agreed. For all the other "creative" ways of showing data that seem pretty useless (ie P&L by customer, lol) the other box works fine. For the normal stuff ALL trained accountants use, such as breakout by month, quarter, multiple years etc, it was really useful and efficient having the drop-down at the top. It's also frustrating that QBO didn't include Budget in the comparisons choices as desktop had (yes, I've been using QBO for 8 years and I still miss the better functionality of desktop).

Nipun Bhatia - can you let us know about this - this is really big/signficant - the classic view has the proper drop-downs - the new version just simply misses the point and doesn't help us - the user experience here with the new version is not good - someone needs to hear us on this particular topic.

Agreed!!!! It is such an AWFUL change. Everything takes so many more mouse clicks to navigate now. It's always been worse than QB Desktop with the excessive mouse clicks but this latest overhaul includes some of Intuit's worst changes to date. Having to go to that square to the far right, expand a list to find date as an option, then having to click again to expand more options and finally choose month? Arrggh. Staff and clients hate this just as much as me so far.

just uploaded - this is absolutely necessary in the new view

we have to have these drop-downs handy to easily change month vs. month - year vs. year - you hid this in the new view and I can not easily find them - you have waaay too many options related to P&L and b/s views - these in my pic are all we need - please please please put 'em back

It's abundantly clear you guys don't use QB or you would not be asking for screenshots to show you what is so obvious to actual users of the software. This was an absolutely unnecessary change.
